Sybernet / Supplied Procedures Reference
Release 3.00 Mar 03, 2005 |

The Sybernet E-mail reminder allows you to send an e-mail to yourself (or someone else) in the future. As its name implies, the purpose here is to send yourself a reminder. If you specify a Repeat other than Onceonly, your e-mail is sent periodically on the date and time you specify. The problem here is folks change their mind or specified a repeat of every hour when they didn't mean to. Repeating e-mails include a link that allows you to unsubscribe from this facility. Only the author of this e-mail can unsubscribe, however.
Specifying a Repeat of Period means this e-mail is sent every period. The trick here is that the day of the period is determined from the specified Date and not the date you invoked this application. That is, if you specified Period for Repeat and today's date is Mar 01, 2005, but the Date specified is Mar 03, 2004, then the day of the period is calculated from Mar 03, 2004. If Mar 03, 2004 is the 13th day of the period, then the next e-mail will be sent on the 13th day of the next period.
